The same ideas in a new form
In the name of investing in my practice, I finally purchased a laser cutter. I’d been circling the idea for a while, looking for a tool that could extend the concepts present in my work.
The plotter draws lines and the laser cuts shapes. Both operate on the Cartesian plane (the x and y axes) and glancing at my drawing you’ll notice a layered quality already present. Forms that overlap and create the effect of receding and advancing. The laser makes this implied depth literal.
